I signed up for Match.com on Dec 30, 2009. I figured what the hell I have not dated for over a year. It seems the rare times I actually turn on the television there is a happy smiling couple that met on Match.com, EHarmony or the beautiful older couple that have revived their marriage thanks to Viagra. My on again off again with "Handsome" had ended 14 months prior. "Handsome" is my version of Carries "Mr Big" on the show Sex and the City. He had all the qualities you could ever want in the ideal mate. He is funny, intelligent, sexy, successful and of course handsome. He is the only person that I ever felt that "bubble feeling" with. You know the feeling when you are with that person everyone else dissapears... its like you are in your own bubble. However, like Mr Big ... he was emotionally unavailable because the grief of losing his wife. As fabulous as that bubble could be...the constant tug of war with my heart as the rope was painful. "H" being the older and wiser of the two of us ended it for me. So 14 months later I am signing up for Match.com hoping to find another "bubble like" relationship... in order to fully understand my desire to find love...you have to have an idea of what "my year from HELL" was like. I will give you the Readers Digest version.... August 11,2008 my sister Angela died unexpectedly of sudden cardiac arrest. August 22,2008 I lost my job that I loved because of the economy. September 2008, my roomates had to move because of hour cut backs at job. I could no longer afford the house I was renting. October 2008, rented a room from my ex husband in order to keep my son in private school. November 2,2008 "H" ended our relationship. Sent out 100s of resumes with only one response and several scam responses. March 2009,finally, got a legit job interview set up and 4 days before the interview got rear ended in a car accident that totaled my car and seriously injured parts of me. Months of physical therapy, back pain and migraines that still sneak up on me. September 8, 2009 my Father passed away... the prior August 2008 when I was back home for my sisters funeral his parting words to me were hateful and that was the last time I spoke to him. October 2009, I spilled a latte on a Apple Pro computer at Starbucks and had to replace it. Ironically, I had to sell some of my Microsoft stock in order to buy an Apple. November 2009, my purse was stolen along with my all my credit cards, social security card, drivers license, check book and cell phone. So come 2010 I am ready to get some sort of semblance and fun back into my life. This is where Match.com comes in
maybe just maybe love and happiness is out there in this great big cyber world .... First, according to my married girl friends I need a plan and some ground rules... stay tuned that will be in my next post.

HI Ya'll,
I am a friend who just snuck in here on her blog to say, STAY TUNED! This girl often makes me laugh until my tears stream out of my eyes! We have just introduced her to blogging and look forward to reading all about her continued journey in life!
If you can relate and find this blog funny too, by all means, pass the word, leave comments, etc. Hats off to my great friend, the Matchless Blonde!
Enjoy! Julie
